**The Team**

The Seismic Instruments and Systems (SIS) division of Nanometrics is looking for an experienced, customer outcome focused Seismologist to fill the role of Earth Sciences Specialist within our Business Development team. The Earth Sciences Specialist will work cross-functionally with Product Management, R&D, and Quality teams in Nanometrics to define multi-year technology and product roadmaps. This position will also work with the Business Development and Sales Teams in support of Nanometrics long-term corporate revenue growth objectives.

**The Role**- Develop long term relationships with clients by managing and interpreting their requirements; speaking with clients to understand, anticipate, and meet their needs- Expand market awareness of our products and our industry experience by communicating features and benefits of our products and services effectively- Prepare on-time responses to requests for proposals and information, and coordinate with in-house teams to provide exemplary service to customers- Maintain a strong knowledge of competitor products and identify and report intelligence on competitor pricing and marketing strategies

**What you Bring**- MSc or PhD. in Engineering, Geophysics, Seismology, Physics, or related field- 8+ years of experience in seismic instrumentation, information systems, and complete solutions, or related fields. Preference for experience in geophysics or geosciences with solid technical understanding combined with strong business acumen- Proven ability to translate high-level strategic market expansion objectives into cross-functional action plans the execution of which leads to the desired business outcome

**Assets**- Multilingual relevant to region- Understanding of markets and trends, competitive landscape, industry product offerings and customer challenges- Technical sales, or business development experience
