Context

The Revenue Growth Management (RGM) analyst is an essential enabler for facilitating and delivering against the Diageo Canada pricing agenda of balanced price and mix growth higher than the industry. You will deliver excellence in operation execution that includes but not limited to risk mitigation, pricing filing and management with internal systems and external partners, pricing and trade compliance, and billing resolution. This role is encouraged to identify efficiencies, simplification, and automation working cross-functionally with support staff based in other geographies.

Purpose

Ensures the pricing agenda and related RGM processes run efficiently for Diageo to optimize revenue, and profitability.

Drives internal and external relationship building capabilities, processes, and tools in the RGM space.

This role requires robust systems capabilities and comfort. An individual that is independent, proactive, resourceful, organized and can work with broad scope of business partners. Creative problem solver who can map out processes, set rigor, and conceptualize system efficiencies and development.

Financial Responsibility
- Responsible for all aspects of tactical and operational pricing
- Prepare pricing templates for Customer Data Team for upload, ensuring all information is accurate
- Responsible for submitting approved pricing in a timely manner and validate that it is accurately reflected in SAP
- Responsible for pricing on import skus to get uploaded
- Ad-Hoc responsibility including but not limited to crafting and implementing standardized reports, innovation pricing, and excel template building

Team Responsibility
- Reports into the RGM Director
- Assists RGM team members to implement the RGM agenda
- Will coordinate with Centers of Excellence to help with tactical elements of role, including reporting, and reconciliation, as well as analytical support where appropriate
- Leadership standards to be shown, include inspiring a cohesive team culture, sharing best practices, and taking ownership for shaping Diageo’s future ambition

Complexity of Role
- Requires an understanding of Beverage Alcohol pricing
- Needs to understand different market archetypes and route to market complexities
- Requires critical technical skill and systems ability (ex SAP)
- Understands Alcohol sales in a regulated landscape as well as markup/margin structure of beverage alcohol

Key Outputs/Results
- Delivers on mapping out processes and standard operating procedures for tactical and operational aspects of pricing
- Implements all price filings internally and externally with accuracy and meets all relevant deadlines
- Must have a strong awareness of the impact of environmental, social, and legal factors as they relate to the beverage alcohol industry

Experience
- Undergraduate degree (BA/BS) required
- MBA/post graduate education a plus but not required
- Business experience, preferably in the Beverage/Alcohol or Consumer Packaged Goods industry
- Expertise in one or more of: pricing, tool development, SAP, Finance
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
