**The Opportunity**

We have a full time, permanent opportunity for a **Purchaser **to join our team. We are looking for an individual who can interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as with vendors. As a member of our purchasing team, you will have the opportunity to liaise with several departments within the organization. Reporting to our senior purchaser, you will have the opportunity to learn from a well-established team that is eager to grow. Your experience will complement that goal. This is an in-office position based out of our modern Vancouver office with the opportunity to relocate to our Port Coquitlam office and/or work from home 1 day per week.

**Re**sponsibilities and Duties**
- Create, organize and maintain inventory items in ERP software.
- Assist to organize purchasing documents, update and maintain inventory item status, price list, etc in ERP software.
- Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers.
- Respond to inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
- Contact suppliers to manage deliveries/returns and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, etc.
- Track the status of requisitions and orders.
- Participate in additional projects as required.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Excellent data entry skills
- Proven problem solving & investigative skills
- Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage & meet deadlines
- ERP experience (Foundry is currently using SAP.)
- Minimum 4 years purchasing, warehousing, or supply chain experience in a B2B rebuy and production environment
- Supply chain education (APICS, SCMA, etc) would be an asset.
