ACTIVITIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating with team members to plan, develop, promote and deliver content-rich programs for 300+ girls 6-18 both during school hours and out-of-school hours, as well as supporting overall organizational operations on the administrative side. The Coordinator will maintain and expand relationships with area schools and community partners to implement school day, out-of-school-time, and virtual programs in alignment with our mission of inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. The bulk of the work for the Program Coordinator involves front-line work with girls, program development and delivery, event facilitation, and administrative duties as required.

SKILLS:

- Passion for the Girls Inc. mission
- An awareness of, and commitment to, social justice education
- A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization including support for, and advocacy and action toward, gender equity, reproductive justice, trans rights, and anti-racism
- Three to five (3-5) years of facilitation experience in a formal or informal educational or youth development setting
- Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities, and work within a demanding and fast-paced environment
- Degree or diploma in Social Work or Child and Youth Development preferred; relevant work and life experience is also valued in place of or in addition to higher education
- Experience with out-of-school time programs a plus
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and exceptional interpersonal and rapport-building skills
- Valid driver’s license, with good driving record, and regular access to a reliable vehicle
- Sense of humour, flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to meet the changing needs of children and youth
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Clean Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check

Flexible hours including weekly evenings/ weekends are required in order to meet program delivery demands.

$36,400-$40,040 annually plus benefit plan.
