**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounting Associate is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. The Accounting Associate must comply with established policies and procedures.

**Primary Responsibilities**:
The Accounting Associate is responsible for data entry and analysis related to Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). About 75% of role is related to A/R, mainly around resolving collections, customer billing and payment enquiries, invoicing exception orders as most invoicing is processed via automation and new customer set ups. The remainder of the role will be spent in AP entering non-accrual invoices, reconciling and investigating accrual discrepancies in order to post invoices. This position involves interaction with vendors, customers, and peers to ascertain information and support in order to facilitate accurate data within the accounting software system.

The Accounting Associate is responsible for:
1. Perform the day-to-day processing of financial transactions to ensure that CBS’s finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.

2. Communicate with purchasing, logistics and accounting manager as necessary to complete job duties.

3. Input of new customers and vendors into ERP.

4. Monthly review with Finance Manager of all balances and problematic accounts which need reconciliation

5. Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and vendors

6. AR Collections via phone primarily. Creating and maintaining excel based reporting to provide summaries to Finance Manager when requested.

8. Daily posting of vendor invoices using 3-way method, non-accrual entries and review of accrual report

9. Prepare and post weekly vendor payments into Blue Link (ACH/EFT, wires and credit card payments)

10. Assist with month and year end activities

11. Collaborate with the Finance Manager to improve procedures.

Salary Range: $42,000 to $49,000

Annual Bonus

**Salary**: $35,777.54-$58,185.84 per year
