Project Coordinator (PART-TIME)
- **Founded in 1995, YES Employment + Entrepreneurship is a non-profit community-based organization dedicated to enriching the community by providing English-language support services to help Quebecers find employment and start and grow businesses. **_

We are looking for a part-time (three days per week) Project Coordinator (PC) for YES’ **CREATE** project **(**Career Readiness & Employability Advancement Through Education).

The CREATE project is a life skills and employability program for unemployed or underemployed English-speaking young adults (18-30 years old) with barriers to employment. The program consists of life training led by the PC and external facilitators and on the job training offered by our partner. Pre-employability training will focus on the Skills for Success curriculum model, particularly on strengthening participants’ communication skills and digital literacy, fostering creativity, and developing their problem-solving and active listening skills. Through working together and supporting their peers, they will be able to grow their skills in collaboration, teamwork, adaptability, and flexibility. Financial literacy, reading comprehension, oral presentation, research, and writing will also be covered as part of the exercises throughout the program.

**Summary of the Role**

The role includes but is not limited to creating and maintaining administrative and statistical records for program reporting, screening program participants for interview eligibility during recruitment periods and create and deliver educational workshops. The project has an educational component, where the PC will deliver daily workshops during the training parts of the program. The PC maintains a working knowledge of support services and external resources pertaining to marginalized youth in Montreal, as well as facilitates the referral process in connecting program participants to appropriate external resources as needed. In addition, the PC recruits participants, conducts job interviews and both onsite and digital check-in throughout work placements.

**Project Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities include**:

- Create and maintain administrative and statistical records for program reporting
- Drawing up contracts, ensuring attendance and participant pay is delivered to payroll on time
- Screen program participants for interview eligibility during recruitment and perform initial telephone screening
- Conduct outreach to professionals who volunteer to present workshops
- Develop and deliver workshops on a weekly basis that address the specific needs of the participants.
- Provide participants with one-on-one support as needed
- Follow-up and provide participant support during training placement as needed
- Conduct mid-term check ins with both trainers and participants
- Enter all the data into the CRM as per the organization’s standards
- If needed, prepare participants work placement contracts
- Create surveys to measure trainer and/or participant experience of the program and extract data

**Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications**
- Degree in Social Work, Adult Ed. or in a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of solid work experience and a proven track record in the areas of pre-employment and employment counselling, coordination of internships, community and company outreach, training workshops, service delivery, and recruitment fairs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience in working with clients in a group setting and individual counselling.
- Strong interpersonal skills, organized, detail-oriented
- Must enjoy working with people, with a positive, supportive approach
- Excellent English writing and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask and **thrive** in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing to work occasional evenings
- Bilingual: Advanced English & intermediate to advanced French
- Must have a flexible approach to work, have a team spirit and a collaborative work ethic.
