Are you ready to be part of an **exciting Upgrader Turnaround project team located in Fort Saskatchewan, AB?** We are seeking a number of dedicated **Turnaround Process Operators** for a **significant 2025 Upgrader Turnaround project.** This key role will be instrumental in the pre-work, execution, and startup phases, with the potential for assignment extension based on business needs.
**Position Overview**:
As a **Turnaround Process Operator** (Turnaround Planner/Scheduler), you will collaborate with the TA Ops Team to support permitting, pre-work, and shutdown/startup operations. You'll be directly reporting to the TA Production Coordinator and functionally to the TA Production Specialist, ensuring the smooth execution of turnaround activities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist with unit shutdown, isolation, equipment preparation, decontamination, maintenance permitting, gas testing, commissioning, and startup.
- Support pre and post-turnaround activities, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), job site visits, and permit-to-work processes.
- Participate in operational TA activities such as equipment preparation, field walk-downs, and operational meetings.
- Ensure safe and efficient shutdown and startup of the process unit in line with our global client Safe Work Practices.
- Support turnaround activities and participate in TA shift meetings.
**Team Dimensions Include**:
- ** Minimum 4th Class Steam Ticket is required.**:
- This is a** field-based position;** no permit writing activities are required.
- Must be Physically fit, able to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolds.
- Capable of performing pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Must bring suitable fire-retardant clothing and CSA-approved work boots (6-inch ankle coverage).
- Flexibility to adapt to the evolving pre-work and turnaround schedule, with extra hours as needed, all compensated at the contracted rate.
- ** Be legally entitled to work in Canada** (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
