**Executive Meeting Manager**

**Job Overview**:
Four Points by Sheraton & Element by Westin Toronto Airport is looking for an Executive Meeting Manager** **to develop business for assigned market segments through direct sales solicitation for two dual padded Marriott properties the Four Points by Sheraton & Element by Westin Toronto Airport. **Duties and Responsibilities**
- Respond to inquiries regarding event space availability in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain strong client relations and ensure that meeting specifications are communicated and executed for a successful experience for the meeting planner and attendees
- Solicit, negotiate, and confirm new and repeat business through various efforts to maximize revenues to meet/exceed goals, and produce proposals, floorplans, and pricing aligned with hotel availability and revenue management practices
- Plan, up-sell and coordinate function details with clients, and prepare and execute sales/catering contracts, event orders, group resumes to ensure quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Create and distribute effective internal and external communication (written and verbal)
- Develop and implement creative sales strategy by analyzing historical, current, and future hotel/market/account trends
- Develop and continually enhance relationships with key corporate, business and travel industry accounts
- Ensure delivery of expected guest service through follow up and coordination with other hotel departments. Work independently within given parameters and maintain a positive attitude within a very busy environment
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing

**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**
- College education, hospitality related degree preferred
- 2 - 3 years’ experience as Executive Meeting Manager or equivalent Hotel Sales experience
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team.
- Computer Skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Hotel front desk or sales/catering hotel related operating systems
- Must possess the ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence professionals and hotel guests
- Attention to detail, planning and organizational abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, stressful environment
- Working knowledge of Marriott brand systems, policies and processes are preferred.
- Ability to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, etc.
- Require a valid Driver’s License.
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

**Health and safety**
- Follow safe work procedures as outlined in Departmental Policy and Procedures manuals, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Know and comply with all Occupational Health & Safety regulations, as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ministry of Labour.
- Report all injuries or illnesses to a supervisor or manager immediately.
- Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee by bringing health and safety concerns or issues to the attention of the committee.
