- Core Competencies:
Have a solid understanding of building envelope design and construction phase ‘paper-based’ reviews and field reviews.-
- Experience as a project manager, or assisting the project manager, on a minimum of two projects is desirable.-
- Have experience organizing processes and managing teams of professionals across the life cycle of a project — from concept to construction, working through all the stages and ambiguities along the way.-
- Have working knowledge of early project assessment strategies — in collaboration with other team members would be useful.-
- Have strong written, oral, and visual communication skills to advance key project issues with clients, consultants, jurisdictional authorities, builders, suppliers and others. - Understanding the manufacturing process of the mass timber Kit of Parts, with insight on mapping out the key interactions between manufacturing and delivery teams as part of the project management process.-
- Knowledge on the delivery strategies of mass timber, including issues related to cost, schedule, site logistics, and working with construction and installation partners, and able to build processes and documents to support these delivery strategies.-
- Gain experience working with a CM and mass timber project installation partners to define roles and responsibilities in project delivery.-
- You have an analytical mind and enjoy working with tools like THERM and WINDOW to evaluate building envelope-related risks.- Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of plans, designs, calculations, analyses in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings, and specifications.-
- Assist with building envelope design, envelope commissioning and condition assessments for clients with both high rise and low-rise buildings.-
- Testing procedures and long-term monitoring and development of remedial measures to correct building performance problems including a strong emphasis on the interaction of the building and mechanical systems.-
- Analysis and interpretation of heat, air and moisture flow through building envelope systems.-
- Prepares/assist to prepare engineering documents, schedules or reports, as assigned.-
- Conducting preliminary studies required to formulate, determine and evaluate design criteria for engineering work.
