Director, Strategic Planning and Communications

**The Role**:
In this role, you will:
- Provide leadership to functional teams supporting business planning, internal and external communications, digital communications and corporate project management
- Be accountable for the facilitation and development of the three-year strategic plan and annual operating plan ensuring alignment amongst the senior leadership team and integrated execution of the agency’s strategy
- Be accountable for the provision of communications support and services ensuring effective internal and external communications strategies, standards, processes and products
- Be accountable for the integration of project management with operational planning and reporting through leadership of the Corporate Project Management office
- As the executive accountable for the digital customer experience, lead the design, development and maintenance required to support Agricorp's customer experience goals
- Ensure proactive and collaborative relationships with provincial government partners with respect to agency governance
- Act as Corporate Secretary to the Board of Directors ensuring effective and efficient management of support functions required of a provincial agency, including annual reports, legislative requirements
- As a member of the senior leadership team, contribute to the strategic and operational planning and budgeting for the agency
- Lead the Strategic Management and Communications division, ensuring a healthy and positive work environment that supports the ongoing development and professional growth of leaders and employees through effective coaching and performance management
**Job status**: Permanent
**Salary Range**: $119,089 - 152,707
**Work status**: Full time in office, remote and hybrid work arrangements are available
**Location**: Must live in Ontario to perform this role
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary degree in business administration, political science or agriculture with industry specific experience; Chartered Secretary designation an asset
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in strategic/business planning, project management and stakeholder and/or corporate governance
- Strong understanding of the strategic and political landscape of agriculture, agri-business and the public sector
- Solid understanding of Agricorp's business in the context of agriculture and the public sector is an asset
- Experience in overseeing the development of communication and customer experience strategies through both traditional and digital channels
- Proven experience in working with and supporting a board of directors
