Digital Literacy Librarian

Reporting to the Manager, Stanley A. Milner Library and coordinating activities with the other Digital Literacy Librarians through the Digital Literacy Team, you will champion digital literacy services, ensuring they are driven by customer and community needs in keeping with EPL's Community-Led Service Philosophy. Using your passion for digital literacy library services, you will promote a learning environment, working with staff to develop their digital literacy confidence, skills and capacity.
You are committed to intellectual freedom and other key principles of librarianship and you will uphold and model the ideals found in the CFLA position statements on Intellectual Freedom and Diversity and Inclusion. Working as a member of a system-wide team, you will make a real difference in people's lives every day.
**Job Requirements**:
- Master of Library and Information Studies degree, or equivalent, from an ALA-accredited institution is required.
- Experience developing and delivering library services and programs, with a focus on technology-based services.
**What do you need to bring to this position?**
- Demonstrated superior interpersonal, communication, training and collaboration skills.
- Ability to assess community interests and needs, and to plan and deliver services accordingly, in keeping with the Library’s business plan and strategic directions.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs for staff and customers of all ages and from a wide variety of cultural, economic, social and educational backgrounds.
- A commitment to uphold the Canadian Library Association's position statements on Intellectual Freedom and Diversity and Inclusion.
**Note**:
- This position consists of varied schedules which include day, evening and weekend shifts.
- Satisfactory background screening is required for this position, which includes a Criminal Record Check/Police Information Check.

35 hours per week
**Pay Band**:
$41.02 - $52.36 per hour*
- Approximately $74,954 - $95,661 per annum based on a 35 hour work week.
