The Edmonton Community Adult Learning Association (ECALA) is a granting council that provides funding to non-profit agencies to support the delivery of adult foundational learning and literacy initiatives that are non-credit and part-time. ECALA promotes the value of adult literacy and lifelong learning through our vision of _“a community where everyone can learn and grow.” _

As a vital link between ECALA and its adult learning community, you will be crucial in building inclusive relationships, promoting the ECALA mission, supporting diverse learning goals of educators and learners.

**Key roles and Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the other Grant Liaison on the division of responsibilities and tasks regularly
- Coordination and administration of the annual granting process (including forms and guidelines)
- Assist applicant agencies with understanding the grant requirements and outcomes
- Visit and report on funded courses annually or when requested to ensure materials and practice support the learner goals and adhere to requirements in the CALP Manual and ECALA policies and guides
- Coordinate and deliver relevant and practical professional development, resulting in increased practitioner capacity to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Act as a bridge between funded agencies, PD providers and the adult learning community, fostering positive relationships and participating in community educational events.
- Assist ECALA staff and partners in the CALP system and operational projects as required
- Collaborate with the ECALA team to provide coaching and mentoring support to funded agency practitioners and volunteers.
- Attend ECALA training and stakeholder meetings when requested
- Perform responsibilities and duties within ECALA Bylaws, Policies, Guidelines, and Strategic Directions

**Required Experience and Education**:

- Extensive experience facilitating one or more of adult literacy, numeracy, digital and family literacy and English Language Learning.
- Knowledge of learner-centred practice, adult learning principles and First Peoples learning principles.
- Experience working with diverse adult learners and practitioners.

Experience in data entry, form creation and data analysis

Experience in financial tracking, financial reporting and analysis
- Knowledge of the unique needs of Edmonton-based learners, available resources and connections, and adult learning opportunities
- Exceptional Grant Writing skills

Ability to work in a self-directed manner as well as part of a team
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, organization, relationship building and administrative skills.
- Ability and desire to support a positive and healthy work environment through open, honest communication and work effort with ECALA staff and stakeholders
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)
- Experience using ZOOM and virtual meeting apps and software.

Excellent organization, time management, and general administration skills
- Degree and course work in a related field such as business, education, adult education, English language instruction. or an equivalent combination of education and related experience

Non-profit experience will be an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $25,000.00-$35,000.00 per year

**Experience**:
