Le commis offre une vaste gamme de services de soutien administratif et agit comme principale personne-ressource pour les clients du système judiciaire. Le commis reçoit l'argent versé aux tribunaux, traite directement avec le public et en particulier avec les personnes qui se représentent elles-mêmes en cour, entre et récupère des données dans les systèmes automatisés, scrute, enregistre et traite les documents, tient à jour les systèmes de classement, se tient au courant des nouvelles lois et procédures ou des modifications aux lois et procédures, et travaille au sein d'une équipe pour élaborer des solutions liées aux nouveaux processus. Il peut également devoir participer au tribunal comme commis-greffier pour l'appel des causes, l'affirmation ou l'assermentation des témoins, des interprètes et des traducteurs, et effectuer la saisie des données et des résultats des audiences dans le système.

**À votre sujet**:
Pour réussir dans cet emploi, vous avez quatre années d'expérience connexe ou une combinaison acceptable d'expérience connexe et de formation, avec une connaissance du système juridique. Une formation postsecondaire dans une discipline connexe, avec expérience dans un environnement juridique, est un atout. De l'expérience et des compétences dans un environnement automatisé et des habiletés en matière de dactylographie, de traitement de texte et de saisie de données sont requises. De l'expérience dans le traitement d’importantes sommes d'argent et une bonne compréhension des principes de comptabilité et de tenue de livres sont également requises. La personne choisie doit posséder des capacités manifestes pour travailler efficacement avec le public dans un environnement stressant à multiples facettes, souvent dans des situations de conflit et de nature délicate. Le commis doit faire preuve d'un jugement sûr, d'un souci du détail et de la capacité de travailler à la hâte et de respecter les échéances. De plus, d'excellentes aptitudes en matière de relations interpersonnelles et de communication sont essentielles. Le commis doit assurer une grande confidentialité. Pour effectuer les renvois, une bonne connaissance du système juridique et des services gouvernementaux est considérée comme un atout. **La personne choisie offrira des services en français et en anglais. Il est donc nécessaire d'avoir une bonne maîtrise de l'anglais et de pouvoir soutenir une conversation en français.**

Vous serez exposé à des problèmes délicats et à forte charge émotive. Le fait de traiter avec des personnes difficiles ou désemparées créera un environnement stressant.

Vous devrez faire preuve d'une grande précision et d'un grand souci du détail tout en travaillant dans un secteur de services complexe et à volume élevé.

Il existe un risque de vol et de violence physique ou verbale de la part d’individus aux prises avec des situations familiales tendues ou des affaires civiles ou criminelles.

**About Our Opportunity**:
The Clerk, providing a broad range of administrative support, is the first contact person for clients of the court system. They will receive and balance monies paid into the court, deal directly with the public and in particular self-represented litigants, enter and retrieve data from automated systems, scrutinize, record and process documentation, maintain filing systems, monitor new/changing legislation and procedures and work as a team player to develop solutions to new processes. They also may attend court as a court clerk to call cases and swear or affirm witnesses, interpreters and translators and enter data and hearing results.
