**Human Resource Manager**

- Proven work experience in Human Resources.
- Demonstrated success in handling personnel and system operations.
- Experience in a unionized environment.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Drive to maintain important operational policies and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
- Exceptional analytic problem solving and decision-making skills.

**Human Resource Responsibilities**:

- Following up with staff to provide coaching and guidance regarding policy infractions.
- Initial assessment/investigation of Incident Reports.
- Working together with management and employees to solve conflicts and help facilitate positive employee relations and maintain a good working environment.
- Acting as a resource to management and staff in matters of general HR inquiries as well as in the interpretation of Human Resources policies, the collective bargain agreement, and applicable employment legislation.
- Conducting workplace investigations.
- Leading the conduction of disciplinary meetings.
- Leading the conduction of absenteeism management.
- Following up with staff to ensure all background checks and licenses meet the required standards.
- Responding to employee inquiries related to company policies.
- Handling confidential information and personnel files
- Facilitating conflict resolution as required.
- Assisting with recruitment as necessary.
- Assisting with onboarding as necessary.
- Following up with WCB claims and conducting injury management.
- Handling confidential information and personnel files.
- Leading the conduction of absenteeism management.
- Following up with WCB claims and conducting injury management.
- Overseeing the recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
- Overseeing the filing of employee records.
- General duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Human Resource Management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of three years of experience working in Human Resources (required).
- Previous experience with labor relations.
- Experience working in Human Resources role in a unionized environment. (preferred)
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and diffuse difficult situations.
- Ability to manage fluctuating workload coupled with the ability to multitask.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to fluently speak and type in English.
- Have a keen attention to detail.
