**More about this role**:
As a Safety - Operations Co-op initiatives to ensure high-quality product is produced, on time and at the required cost. You will be involved in the implementation of key IL6S improvement initiatives and have an excellent opportunity to develop strong leadership skills by leading one or more production lines for a portion of your assignment.

**You will**:
Participate and/or lead in IL6S activities, including daily review meetings and AM and PM initiatives.

Participate and/or lead RCA (root cause analysis) and loss analysis related to machine performance.

Improvement initiatives to address safety, quality, and operations losses.

Ensure Product and Performance data is available and accurate at all times.

Work and Communicate across all departments to achieve the delivery goals and planned objectives to ensure efficient operations.

Implement tools & processes to develop technical capability across the shop floor which includes skill matrices, skill validation tools, etc.

Manage the position qualification process including coordinating and leading progress update meetings, necessary communications, and ensuring skill validation and testing are complete.

Solid computer skills with intermediate level in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Experience in Excel with macros, add-ons, and developing dashboards is considered an asset.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), the ability to convey complex information to a non-expert audience, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.

Exceptional time management and organizational skills, self-starter with a high level of initiative and adaptability.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Someone with the discretion, tact, diplomacy, and attention to detail that are essential.

Previous manufacturing experience will be considered an asset.
- Lean Six Sigma _certification or equivalent knowledge and experience is desired as it would be considered an asset for some specific roles available.
- Project management _certification outgoing or completed. Equivalent proof knowledge or experience is desired as it would be considered an asset for some specific roles available.

**Work Schedule**:Monday to Friday to commute in person. This is not a remote or hybrid position.

**Duration**:Winter term. Start date January 2024 - End date Abril 2024. A potential extension in the Spring and fall of 2024 might be available based on performance.
