Trades for Tomorrow is looking to hire an **Community Engagement Specialist **to help support our driven, focused, and ever-expanding team. We welcome the experience of someone who can manage projects, build strategic relationships, and create awareness about the association and the services we provide. We are looking for someone who would like to be one of the “Brand Ambassador’s” of the organization and is a dynamic public speaker and is confident managing a variety of projects. 3-5 years of progressive program and/or project management and coordination experience.

Your ability to multi-task while managing your own work is essential to this position. You need to be resourceful, adaptable, detail oriented, organized and a good problem-solver who can handle a changing and growing environment with ease. You are also efficient and comfortable taking direction from and supporting multiple team members. You know that clear communication, collaboration, and teamwork is the key to a successful workplace.

This position is full-time, Monday to Friday working remote (when work might occur outside of office hours, your schedule will adjust accordingly).

**Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following**:
**Administrative duties**:

- Responsible for managing your own workflow to get the job/task done efficiently and in a timely manner
- Attend weekly education & training and marketing meetings to ensure programs are promoted internally and to the public
- Assist managers with tasks related to apprenticeship recruitment and maintaining apprenticeship records within a CRM
- Prepare accurate records and reports as required
- Prepare necessary presentations for meetings or events
- Provide other administrative support as may be required to efficiently operate the program
- Monitor mentors and mentees for mentorship program

**Research**:

- Research community and educational outreach calendars across the province, organize annual calendar, book events, workshops and information sessions
- Collect information for mentorship program
- Collect data to help evaluate the success of the programs or events

**Outreach**:

- Build relationships with identified schools, high schools & professionals in career centres
- Manage and attend campus events including career fairs, classroom presentations, and conferences
- Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups, partners, employment agencies and/or organizations, and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the program
- Source, interview and train mentors

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience working with meeting software (Zoom, MS Teams)
- Experience working with customer relationship management (CRM) and applicant tracking system (ATS) software tools to track all interactions
- Detail-oriented and able to work effectively with tight deadlines
- Experience in leadership
- Superior organization skills, ability to coordinate projects, events and programs
- Excellent interpersonal skills can deal with conflict effectively and has an ability to be empathetic and builds rapport with ease and sensitivity
- Able to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to work comfortably with senior leadership in a virtual environment
- Strong organizational skills and project management skills
- Exposure to the skilled trades environment would be a bonus but is not necessary
- Experience in Human Resources and assisting in recruiting is an asset but not required
- Knowledge of Ontario Apprenticeship program and requirements and other regulatory bodies would be an asset but not required
- Knowledge of potential employment trends / developments in the Construction Sector would be an asset but not required
- Knowledge of project/program management
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, news and trends would be an asset but not required
- Understanding the business needs and requirements in the Construction Sector would be an asset but not required

**Other Conditions**:
Community Engagement Specialist must be able to travel to various communities across Ontario, during all weather conditions

Community Engagement Specialist should be able to lift, carry, and manage various equipment and supplies

The employee may have to spend long hours sitting at a computer or office equipment, or to attend meetings

The employee may be required to manage multiple tasks and projects at one time

The employee may be required to manage workload and hours under to complete special requests or projects

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
