Gincor is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Administrator. This role requires an individual to:
- Collect and verify timekeeping information for all hourly employees.
- Calculate and process deductions, bonuses and group benefits
- Oversee the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees ensuring accuracy and compliance with government legislation.
- Input new hires, update employee status, manage rate adjustments, process terminations, and submit Records or Employment (ROE).
- Work closely with Finance and Human Resources team and assist with investigating inquiries and discrepancies related to payroll and time and attendance.
- Handle year-end reconciliation for payroll and process necessary reports such as Employee T4’s.
- Work with HR to remit and reconcile monthly and annual WSIB premiums and statements.
- Administer employee benefits and RRSP/ DPSP for all employees (enrolments, leaves, and terminations).
- Prepare payroll reports for finance as needed.
**Skills/Qualifications**:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures.
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of finance/ payroll back round.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner considered an asset.
- Good judgement and decision-making in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles as it pertains to payroll.
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
