As the New Construction Operations Manager at Reliance, you'll become an integral part of an organization committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. Reporting to the Director of Western Canada, your role will entail providing daily support to our operations team members and frontline installation teams. Your primary objective is to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of these critical operations, ensuring the achievement of profitability targets and the timely completion of projects within budget. As you build your team to support growth, fostering relationships will be a key focus, contributing to the enhancement of Reliance's reputation within the builder communities we serve. Actively participating in the identification and pursuit of new revenue-generating opportunities, you are dedicated to both your personal and professional growth.
What will you do?
- Drive Residential New Construction Growth: Spearhead efforts to increase residential new construction revenues and earnings by identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities, implementing standardization, and optimizing organizational efficiencies.
- Team Leadership and Communication: Enhance team effectiveness through coaching and efficiency measures, establishing clear communication channels across different groups within the organization.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate an understanding of Residential Plumbing and HVAC systems, materials, and terminology to effectively navigate and contribute to discussions and decision-making in the field.
- Implement Standardization Processes: Introduce and enforce standardized processes and procedures within teams, providing coaching to ensure team members understand the significance and benefits of adherence.
- Reporting and Coordination: Deliver, monitor, and maintain Work in Progress reports, Project Progress reporting, and gross margin reporting. Ensure clear direction and communication with estimators, schedulers, warehouse personnel, and site supervisors. Monitor and maintain inventory levels, material purchases, and consumption, collaborating with your project manager, and warehouse personnel. Additionally, oversee and maintain HSE and COR certifications in collaboration with the safety team.
