Winnipeg, Canada Bobsled Construction Inc. Full time

We are currently seeking to fill the role of a _**Project Manager**_. The project manager will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

- Ability to work independently or with mínimal guidance
- Provides technical and/or management support for construction projects, including submittals, reporting, safety, and quality control, and assists operations staff to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Successful canditate demonstrates a commitment to continual learning outside of work hours.
- Implements and maintains project start-up systems and procedures including job site trailer, master filing system, project billings, cost accounting system, and project directory.
- Performs general administrative and recordkeeping functions including the review and distribution of documentation; preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes; and maintenance of files, logs, drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs including submissions to the consultants.
- Supports the (sub) contract management/procurement process through tendering and awarding work or supply materials, assisting with the review, processing invoices and progress claims, and assisting with the review of documents and inquiries.
- Takes a lead in the change order management process by securing pricing from the vendor/subcontractor, reviewing and inputting the data for project manager review, submitting change requests for approval, and following through with (sub) contract change orders/purchase orders as directed.
- Facilitates the tracking of project milestones, assists with the creation and maintenance of the project schedule, and inputs and updates the baseline schedule with the project team.
- Prepares for project close out by collecting warranties, O&M manuals, and occupancy documents; creating turnover documents; and demobilizing the site.
- Write and compile weekly site report for Project Manager review.

- Understanding of Project Accounting using accounting software (Sage 100)

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years of related work experience or a combination of relevant education and experience. Canadian experience is required or similar cold climate construction.
- Completed post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering or related discipline is a requirement
- Knowledge of construction documents, drawings, and specifications, current construction practices, Manitoba construction regulations and methodology an assest.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders, anticipate stakeholder needs, and proactively identify solutions.
- Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, Word, and Adobe/Bluebeam an asset
- Present a professional, calm and courteous image while interfacing with the members of the organization
- Knowledge of Lean Construction
- Experience of handling serveral projects at a time of values between $2M - $3M

**Working Conditions**:
