**Moncrief Construction is looking for an experienced Construction Contract Administrator to join our team**
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Prepare contract and tender documents
- Proactively identify issues, and follow
- up on actions required.
- Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
- Work closely with Clients, Vendors, Sub-trades and Site Foreman to coordinate schedules, communicate project progress, assisting with documents and processes
- Negotiates terms, conditions and pricing, and ensure they are accurately executed and satisfied
- Coordinate the execution of key legal documents
- Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance to company policy, government specifications and other requirements
- Provide comprehensive review of key legal documents during the bid stage
- Assisting in securing new work by participating in estimates, working with subcontractors and/or participating in proposals
- Stay informed about changes in construction laws and regulations, updating management accordingly.
- Review, negotiate, and manage construction contracts, including terms, conditions, and amendments for legal compliance.
- Create contract/ agreement summaries for management review.
- Maintain comprehensive records of contracts, change orders, and project correspondence, ensuring all documentation is current and accessible.
- Submit necessary filings, such as Notice of Mining, Notice of Projects, and Form 1000.
- Update the company portfolio and major projects list.
- Manage partner relations, including joint ventures and limited partnerships agreements.
- Maintain spreadsheets for contract documents that track substantial completion, final completion, liquidated damages, expiration dates, renewal details, reporting requirements, and other key contract elements.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop subcontractor agreements based on contract documents.
- Submit bond requests and secure bonding for tender submissions & contract award.
- Prepare prequalification packages for clients as needed.
- Monitor tender advertisements and keep estimators informed of upcoming projects.
- Update MTO work-on-hand.
- Attend weekly scheduling meetings to ensure all projects have the required contract documents in place before execution.
- Manage RPRA reporting and documentation for hazardous waste and excess soil registry.
- Update environmental programs and procedures tailored to specific projects.
- Manage contract claims and disputes.
- Attend contract progress meetings (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) with clients, project managers, and the health and safety manager.
**SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS**:
- Must have experience in accounting and book keeping
- Must have experience reading contract documents
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Ability to evaluate assignments, determine procedures and implement solutions, schedule work to meet objectives, participate in short
- and long term planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Must have excessive experience working on Microsoft Excel
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 14 months
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
