Northern Gold Foods is a leading manufacturer of a wide range of healthy great tasting breakfast and snack food products. With roots dating back to 1978, Northern Gold Foods has production facilities located in British Columbia, Ontario, and Oregon.

**The Primary Duties and Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to**:
**Human Resources**:

- Employee file maintenance, including vacation and attendance trackers
- Respond to employee inquires, requests, and employment needs
- Provide employee relations coaching and recommendations to Managers/Supervisors
- Lead and assist in administering employee discipline (ie employee policy manual infractions, attendance, performance)
- Conduct daily production employee timesheet reviews and approvals (Payworks)
- Reception duties
- Coordinate and deliver employee onboarding/orientation
- Perform all other duties as directed

**Health & Safety**:

- Ensuring compliance with all H&S legislative requirements
- JHSC Management Co-chair and lead quarterly committee meetings
- Conduct workplace inspections, daily observations, coordinate/follow-up on all H&S items
- Maintain all compliance documentation and H&S board postings
- Administering all WSIB claims and Return to Work programs
- Update H&S procedures and policies as required
- Coordinating in-house/external H&S training and maintaining training record files
- Manage emergency equipment inventory (i.e. first aid materials, spill response kit, etc.)
- Perform all other duties as directed

**Requirements**:

- 2-3 years Human Resources experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in a H&S role
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- We provide training as required for this position

**Assets**:

- Human Resources and/or Health & Safety relevant post-secondary education
- JHSC Part One and Two (manufacturing) certification
- Time and Attendance tracking system experience
