Rodd Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to work out of our Corporate Office in Charlottetown PEI.

As a member of our Marketing Team you will be responsible for responsible for creating content and managing the brands online presence through various social channels.

This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate in Marketing with opportunity for growth.

**Day To Day Report to**:Marketing Supervisor

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting in coordinating the day-to-day marketing activities with a focus on social media, reputation management and content creation
- Work with the marketing team to develop a marketing strategy for social media
- Develop content to increase community engagement online
- Create a brand persona through the brand’s online channels
- Utilize the social channels most relevant to the brand daily
- Engage with customers online and respond to customer queries through social networks
- Work with relevant influencers or complementary brands to grow the company’s social following organically
- Gathering photos, videos, and reels for use on social media
- Keeping online media library up to date
- Remaining up to date on latest social media trends
- Copyedit, proofread, and revise communications
- Assist hotel and resort teams with reputation management
- Flexibility to meet additional job duties as assigned by the marketing team
- Ability to analyze and interpret sales, website, and social media statistics

Skills, Abilities and Qualifications**:**
- Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing an asset or equivalent experience
- Advanced knowledge of social channels
- Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
- Ability to understand future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
- Photography skills would be beneficial
- Tourism, accommodation, or hospitality experience considered an asset
- Flexibility
- Excellent written, verbal communication and organizational skills
- Ability to plan, prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely manner
- Well-developed skills using Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook
- drivers License and Use of a car as you will need to travel to our properties for content

Pay: $39,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
