**The opportunity**:
Human Resources is looking for an HR Advisor to join the Bannatyne Campus team. This position will work closely with the designated HR Consultant while serving as a main point of contact for clients in their assigned portfolio. The HR Advisor will support leaders in practical HR matters, which includes oversight of recruitment processes, first line interpretation of collective agreements and policies, and expert guidance in the areas of performance management, staff development, and organizational effectiveness.
**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:
- University degree with courses in human resources, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- A CPHR Designation is preferred, but not required.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant human resources experience, required.
- Experience working in a complex unionized environment is strongly preferred.
- A demonstrated knowledge of best and promising employment practices, Human Rights Legislation and Employment Standards is required.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills including the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of organization is required.
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel end Powerpoint or other equivalent software required.
- Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good time management skills is required.
- Ability to establish and foster supportive working relationships.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
