**Position purpose**:
Reporting to the Director of the School of Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences, the incumbent ensures the operational management, the planning, the development of recruiting strategies, the recruiting and training for part-time clinical professors of the School of Nursing's undergraduate programs. Ensure that these programs operate effectively, efficiently and in line with curriculum objectives. Act as a resource person for undergraduate students on a variety of issues related to their academic trajectory within their program.

**In this role, your responsibilities will include among others**:

- ** Headcount and human resources planning**: Evaluate the needs (in number and type) of part-time professors required for clinical training in collaboration with the Practicum Training Coordinator and the School director. Ensure that the headcount is managed and distributed in accordance with the allocated budget and inform the faculty of provisional budget requirements for the next fiscal year.
- ** Recruitment**: Plan and manage the recruitment process and hiring of part-time professors for clinical and theory courses according to the criteria of the relevant collective agreements. Evaluate applicants' qualifications and ensure verification of their license to practice. Plan the onboarding of professors, explain the requirements and expectations of teaching positions (e.g., objectives, student evaluations, etc.).
- ** Training**: Develop and deliver pedagogical training for clinical professors aimed at implementing best practices in student support (e.g. learning plan, plan for students with accommodation needs, principles of procedural fairness, etc.) to ensure a quality of teaching that meets the learning requirements and needs as well as the academic success of students in the clinical setting. Provide ongoing guidance to professors with questions about their responsibilities, academic regulations and procedures related to their clinical role.
- ** Multi-site coordination**: As part of the Algonquin-Ottawa and Algonquin-Pembroke partnerships, oversee and monitor program activities to ensure consistency, integrated approach and compliance with program requirements across the various partner sites (Algonquin-Ottawa, Algonquin-Pembroke)
- Committees: Chair the collaborative committee reporting to the Undergraduate Studies Committee to ensure curriculum standardization across all sites and make recommendations to address various program issues (e.g., action on equity, diversity, and student inclusion issues at these sites).
- Curriculum Committees: Responsible for curriculum meetings for each undergraduate nursing course to ensure course objectives are met across campuses, and to document and standardize any curriculum changes. Ensure follow-up between clinical sites and partners by transmitting and integrating meeting reports.**Academic Advising**: Advise students on the impact of any leaves of absence, course withdrawals or clinical placements (e.g. medical leave for special circumstances, prerequisite waivers, part-time study) on their course sequence and academic progress within the nursing program - in liaison with the Faculty’s Academic Office.- Academic accommodations: Determine the student's accommodation needs in a clinical setting, in collaboration with the Academic Accommodations Service, based on indicated abilities and functional limitations. Ensure that proposed accommodations are appropriate to the standards of the clinical environment and the student's learning objectives. Liaise with instructors/coordinators in the clinical setting for any modifications to the student's accommodation needs for a healthy learning environment.
