**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The Undergraduate Administrator is essential to the operation of the Department and fulfills five key roles:
(1) is the first point of contact representing the Undergraduate Program, assists the general public, students, staff, and faculty with enquiries concerning the Undergraduate Program, courses and procedures, etc.;
(3) the Undergraduate Administrator provides support for the Department as requested by the Departmental Administrator as well as support to the Departmental Administrator, organizes events related to the Undergraduate Program, substitutes for the Departmental Administrator in his/her absence, and has signing authority on Departmental accounts. In addition, she/he assists in maintaining the Neuroscience website,provides administrative services as required by faculty.
(4) Provides administrative support to the department’s Administrator, Undergraduate Chair, and Chair;
(5) Undergraduate timetable coordinator for the department of Neuroscience/Neuroscience and Mental Health.

**Qualifications**:
The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

- Excellent administrative, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work responsibly under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of University structure and regulations.
- Thorough understanding of academic regulations and student records processing procedures.
- Demonstrated tact, reliability, and good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of University's database and scheduling software (e.g., FAST, Courseleaf, Banner, DCU) preferred.

**Education and Experience**:
The above is normally acquired through the completion of:

- 3-4 years of related experience, at least 1 year of which should be in an academic environment with an emphasis on student advising. Experience with FAST, Courseleaf, Banner and DCU would be an asset.
