Summary Statement:
The Executive Chef with Quality Assurance (QA) will lead culinary operations in a high-volume, large quantity food service environment. This role involves overseeing the food service supervisors and team, ensuring the preparation and presentation of meals meet the highest culinary standards, and ensuring consistent quality and food safety.

- Lead, supervise, and train food service employee care partners, if applicable, to ensure smooth operation of food production in a large-scale environment.
- Develop and implement standardized recipes, cooking procedures, and portion sizes for mass food preparation.
- Collaborate with the food service supervisors, management team to develop innovative and seasonal menu items that meet dietary needs and resident preferences.
- Experience in coaching, training, and mentoring all employee care partners to deliver a superior fine dining experience for residents.

Quality Assurance:
- Working along side the food service supervisors, Implement and maintain a quality assurance program to ensure consistency and high culinary standards across all food offerings.
- Regularly inspect food quality, presentation, and portion sizes to meet or exceed the organization’s expectations.
- Develop and enforce best practices for food handling, cooking, and storage to maintain safety and quality standards.
- Conduct regular taste tests, inspections, and audits of food items and production areas to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Food Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, sanitation, and food safety standards.
- Conduct regular kitchen inspections to monitor cleanliness, safety, and adherence to food safety protocols.
- Supervise the proper handling, storage, and preparation of food to minimize waste and prevent contamination.
- Implement employee care partner training programs on food safety and quality control practices.
Inventory Management & Cost Control:
- Oversee and support leads in inventory levels and manage food purchasing and receiving to ensure cost-effective operation.
- Work closely with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients while maintaining cost control and minimizing waste.
- Develop and manage budgetary guidelines for food production, ensuring financial performance aligns with organizational goals.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the operations and management teams to align culinary offerings with operational needs and client expectations.
- Communicate effectively with other service area to ensure a seamless service experience.
- Address Resident or client feedback and adjust production or quality control processes accordingly.

Qualifications:
Education
- Red Seal Journeyman Certification Chef, Culinary diploma/degree or equivalent certification required.
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role in large-scale kitchens.
- In-depth knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning for large quantities.
- Strong background in quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance (sanitation standards).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage large-scale food production and ensure efficiency without compromising quality.
- Experience in inventory management, cost control, and food purchasing.
