- **Overview**:_

Support to internal programs by coordinating schedules, managing records, and handling communications. Requires attention to detail, effective communication, and collaboration with volunteers. This role will include support and coordination of community outreach initiatives including, but not limited to warehouse distribution and the Trap/Neuter/Spay and Return (TNVR) program.
- **Description**:_
- Assist in facilitating product donations, inventory, and distribution support for warehouse.
- Provide multi-program administrative support.
- Assist in coordinating schedules and appointments.
- Handle correspondence related to various program activities, responding to inquiries, and providing information.
- Input and update data in relevant databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in supporting volunteers within the organization’s programs.
- Physical Stamina: Possess the physical stamina required for loading and unloading goods, as well as spending extended periods driving.
- **Qualifications**_:_
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous administrative support experience, preferably in a nonprofit or animal welfare setting.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and data entry.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for responding to inquiries and providing information.
- Ability to coordinate schedules, manage supplies, and support initiatives efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with volunteers, veterinary staff, and other team members.
- Genuine commitment to the welfare and humane treatment of animals.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.

**Requirements**:

- In accordance with Service Canada requirements in order to be eligible, participants must:

- Be between 15-30 years of age, at the start of the funded position.
- Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or someone to whom Refugee Status has been granted/conferred.
- Have a valid SIN
- International students, and those who are here in Canada on a work, youth, or visitor visa/permit are not eligible for the program
- Covid-19 fully vaccinated (2 doses)
- Valid **G** drivers license required & Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Access to reliable transportation to and from the HBSPCA location.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
