SUMMARY
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Team Lead is responsible to perform the tasks and responsibilities of various warehouse operations jobs including order picking, replenishment, shipping, receiving and cycle counts. In addition to performing multiple warehouse jobs, the team lead will support the supervisor to oversee warehouse operations ensuring best practice processes are known and adhered to by warehouse team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate and work with staff to ensure the proper movement of materials in the warehouse.
- Actively communicate with supervisor and operators to effectively manage required business levels.
- Complete paperwork and documentation accurately and effectively.
- Operate a forklift to move material through facility as required.
- Assemble Honda Side by Side (SXS) recreational vehicles.
- Load and unload trailers
- Pick up discarded packing material in the facility, and general sweeping and cleanup as required.
- Responsible for the direction of forklift operators, by participating in shift planning, organizing priorities, assigning work and ensuring the understanding of company policy, procedures, performance and health and safety standards.
- Monitor daily employee work assignments and follow up on performance results and responsibilities.
- Assist in creating and maintaining an environment that promotes positive communication within the facility as well as fostering teamwork within the operation.
- Assist in the additional training of employees as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Extra hours will be required to accommodate fluctuating retail sales seasons and promotions, and to complete pre-planned physical inventories.
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
EXPERIENCE
- Three (3) years warehouse experience operating material handling equipment (MHE) with a proven track record for safety.
- Previous experience with RF based Warehouse Management System (WMS). Red Prairie experience an asset.

EDUCATION
- Completion of secondary school diploma preferred or the equivalent in combination of education and experience.
- Willingness to attend and participate in training and development programs as required.
- College diploma in Logistics Management is an asset.
CERTIFICATIONS
- Forklift Certification from a recognized training provider. One or a combination of the following equipment experience and certification - Sit Down Counterbalance (MHE is site specific)
