**Job Type**: Part-Time Internship

**About Us**:
North Media Group is Canada's fastest-growing media/news outlet on social media, connecting Canadians to their cities through a diverse network. Our primary target audience is Gen Z and young millennials, and we strive to distribute content in the most easily digestible way.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create and host news and entertainment-related content for North Media Group's TikTok and Instagram channels
- Keep up to date with local news in different cities in Canada to report on
- Use basic editing skills on TikTok to create news-style videos
- Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm and develop new content ideas
- Engage with the audience and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner
- Stay up to date with social media trends and best practices

**Preferred**:

- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Media or related field
- 1+ years of experience creating content for social media platforms, preferably TikTok and Instagram
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Basic video editing skills, specifically on TikTok
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
