**What YOU Will Do**

Under the supervision of the Environmental Manager, the incumbent ensures environmental compliance of various construction projects throughout his/her designated region (Ontario). This person collaborates with the various project management teams, the EMS coordinator and supports a team of environmental advisors and technicians assigned to different projects.
- Support project teams in managing environmental issues and incidents;
- Collaborate in obtaining environmental permits and authorizations;
- Ensure proper implementation of the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system (EMS) on projects in collaboration with the EMS coordinator;
- Prepare deliverables required under the contract (proposal and execution phases);
- Coordinate environmental advisors on various projects;
- Ensure environmental compliance of work.

**SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide consulting support to projects on various environmental issues (accidental spills, waste reclamation, fauna, flora, wetlands protection, water quality, dust control, erosion mitigation measures, noise mitigation, contaminated soils, hazardous waste, water works, etc.).
- Implement EMS processes, plans and forms, and ensure the input of performance indicators by projects, in compliance with corporate requirements;
- Assist in drafting environmental protection action plans and specific management plans (water, air, noise, vibration, soil, wildlife, refueling, emergency response, etc.);
- Manage environmental non-compliances;
- Visit projects to ensure compliance and provide advisory support;
- Report on projects' environmental performance;
- Participate in management meetings and make the various business units aware of environmental issues and requirements;
- Participate in project start-up and follow-up meetings;
- Support the team of environmental advisors and technicians working on various projects;
- Identify and obtain the material resources required by the team of environmental advisors and technicians.

**What YOU Will Bring**
- Experience on construction sites
- Excellent command of the environmental issues and impacts facing a construction site;
- Knowledge of municipal, provincial and federal environmental regulations;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software;
- Good command of spoken and written English;
- Valid driver's license and access to a car;
- This position includes supervision of a team of environmental supervisors. Skills and interest in team management are important;
- Ability to work rigorously and exercise good judgment;
- Demonstrate versatility, initiative and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Construction field;
- Strong sense of organization and autonomy;
- Good communication skills and collaborative spirit;
- Positivism and a constructive approach;
- Desire to learn, develop and progress within the position.
- Comfortable working outdoors and traveling regularly.
