The NAIT Students’ Association (NAITSA) is a registered non-profit organization that exists to provide services, representation and leadership to students enrolled in credit and apprenticeship programs in one of Canada's largest polytechnic institutions, the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT).

**The Opportunity**

Here at NAITSA, we pride ourselves on providing a well-rounded and fulfilling campus life experience for NAIT students. We believe that post-secondary experiences go far beyond the classroom, and we aim to offer a variety of opportunities for students to get involved. Campus Clubs is the centre for students to connect with like-minded peers and elevate their post-secondary experience. We mentor NAIT students from club concept to operational execution by providing resources, services, and training opportunities. There are a lot of moving parts to Campus Clubs, and we are looking for an enthusiastic member for the team to help us elevate the clubs experience. _If we have caught your attentionplease read on_

**Who are we looking for?**

**The main responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to**:

- Administration of clubs finances and banking, including: purchase requests, corresponding payments, payment collection methods, tracking club account numbers, and management of the account tree.
- Liaise with NAITSA’s Finance department regarding club accounts, transaction inquiries, club grant funding, and banking reconciliation.
- Provide ongoing support to club leaders regarding their club’s finances, schedule 1:1 advising sessions to provide support tailored to their financial questions.
- Data management, administration and reporting including reviewing post
- club fundraiser summaries, and leading end-of-semester reporting regarding club finance transactions; utilize data to inform and support strategic planning goals.
- Supervise and mentor student staff, including participating in annual recruitment and selection of student Clubs Finance Coordinators, lead training and onboarding processes, delegate work, assign projects, performance reviews, and approving part-time timesheets for payroll.
- In collaboration with the Campus Clubs team, plan and/or lead finance-specific sessions or roundtables at club training or leadership events.
- Daily administration within Ookslife.ca; maintain knowledge of front
- and back-end systems and generate exports of data.
- Exemplify team leadership qualities and support other Campus Clubs initiatives as required including, but not limited to, updates of the clubs handbook microsite, participate in regular team meetings, collaborate with the department manager on annual budgeting and strategic planning.
- Maintain and foster a student-focused mindset within the team; establish and maintain high standards of customer service.

**Qualifications (Must-Haves)**
- Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related discipline. Equivalent work experience will also be considered, but experience participating in a post-secondary environment is a huge asset to working within it.
- Attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to uphold accuracy in financial tasks and reporting.
- Budget management experience and financial acumen.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and sound judgment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
- Able to demonstrate your experience with a variety of technical systems, tools, and software including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and database management.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to handle various responsibilities without compromising quality or attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate and build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in diverse group situations.
- Availability to occasionally work outside of business hours including evenings and weekends as required for meetings, events, supporting student staff, etc.
- You are enthusiastic and passionate about student development and success. You can speak positively and effectively about the benefits of engaging in campus life.
- **References and Security Clearance**: Employment in this position is conditional upon successful completion of references and a Canadian Criminal Record check.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

**Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves)**
- Previous leadership and/or mentoring experience is a definite asset.
- Working experience with POS systems (i.e., Square)
- Public speaking and experience delivering presentations and/or training content.
- Experience with Anthology platforms or other student engagement solutions is a definite asset, but not required
