**Job Summary**:
Provides overall strategic, human resources leadership for the Company by planning, organizing, developing and implementing human resources policies and programs and services---employment, benefits, compensation, performance management, safety and health, training, communications, employee services, employee relations and compliance with all provincial and federal regulations.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Participate in the development of the company’s plans and programs as these plans relate to the impact on human resources.
- Translate the strategic and tactical HR business plans into human resources and operational plans.
- Administer appropriate human resources policies to improve organizational effectiveness.
- Oversee the recruiting and selection programs to attract and retain the most qualified employees for all regular and temporary positions.
- Oversee and administer compensation and benefits programs as required by HR Team and requirements.
- Administer the Company’s performance management program for all employee levels to improve productivity, teamwork, communication, and employee relations.
- Administer training needs and deliver suitable training for employee development.
- Ensure compliance with Alberta Employment Legislation, Human Rights and Canadian Employment Standards.
- Ensure compliance on a Canadian level, while understanding the nuances within each region.
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of human resources issues, regulations, trends and current priorities.
- Acts as a senior level adviser to all employees on all HR issues, employee relations.
- Perform other related duties as necessary.

**Education**: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.

Advanced degree in Human Resources certifications preferred.

**Experience**: 5 - 10 years’ or more experience in a human resources capacity.

**Skill Requirements**: High-level knowledge of human resources concepts, practices and procedures.

Effective planner, organizer with leadership skills. Strong oral and written communication

abilities with presentation skills. Ability to perform in a multi-facet environment. Strong

interpersonal skills. Computer and software skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior

level leaders to achieve business objectives using HR strategies, operations and tactics.

Demonstrated ability to be flexible with changing demands, multi-task and prioritize projects. The

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $51.29-$57.23 per hour
