**TERM**:Full-time, 12 month contract with a possibility of extension

**SALARY**:$40 - $44 per hour - will commensurate with skills and experience

Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute (“CHEO RI”) is the research arm of the Children’s
Hospital of Eastern Ontario - Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre (“CHEO”) and an affiliated institute of the University of Ottawa. The Knowledge Institute is a provincial program based at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), and for the past 19 years it has focused on mobilizing knowledge and improving quality across Ontario’s child and youth mental health and addictions system to support positive outcomes for children, young people and families.

**CHEO RI in collaboration with the Knowledge Institute on Child and Youth Mental Health and Addictions, has an immediate requirement for an Implementation Consultant.**

We are looking for a highly motivated Implementation Consultant that will consult on implementation considerations throughout research and related activities pertaining to quality standards in child and youth mental health and addictions. The Implementation Consultant will provide expertise on implementation science throughout instrument development, data collection, analysis, and reporting, and based on study outcomes, will lead the development of an implementation guide, an implementation roadmap, and other relevant knowledge products and tools to facilitate spreading and scaling of this work across Ontario and to other jurisdictions, as well as other relevant knowledge products and tools. The Implementation Consultant has advanced knowledge, skills and expertise in implementation science, ideally achieved through both training and on-the-ground experience.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Under the general supervision of the Senior Researcher/Investigator, the Implementation Consultant will:

- Provide guidance to the research team around implementation considerations, activities, and resources.
- Create, customize, and modify existing implementation science materials for the child and youth mental health and addictions sector based on needs assessments and knowledge of best practices.
- Work with other team members as required in product development.
- Lead or participate in key provincial or regional efforts, communities of practice or networks relating to the implementation of quality standards, quality guidelines or evidence-based programs/practices in the child and youth mental health and addictions sector.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate new partnerships relating to the implementation of quality standards, quality guidelines or evidence-based programs/practices in the child and youth mental health and addictions sector.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

**QUALIFICATIONS, SKILL AND ABILITIES**
- Master’s degree in psychology, sociology, health systems policy, health administration or a related field

- Training in implementation science (Essential)
- Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic/experience requirements (Essential)
- Advanced knowledge of implementation science (Essential)
- Advanced knowledge of evaluation and performance measurement (preferred)
- Knowledge of community-based research and research methods (Essential)
- Knowledge of complexity, systems thinking and collective impact, with a strong focus on uptake, scalability, and sustainability (Essential)
- Knowledge of knowledge mobilization (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to work within a consultative model with demonstrated experience in working with diverse stakeholders at frontline, senior manager, community, and provincial levels (Essential)
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including tact and adaptability (Essential)
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods, survey design and fluency in statistical software (preferred)
- Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office) (Essential)
