Meat & Poultry Ontario (MPO) represents meat and poultry processors in the province of Ontario. We are a not-for-profit, board-led association representing almost 200 members across Ontario including abattoirs, processing plants, butcher shops, fine food stores, suppliers and partners. Meat & Poultry Ontario is the heart of Ontario’s meat industry.

The Membership Coordinator is the main point of contact with potential, new and existing members of the association and responsible for maintaining records of membership while providing administrative support for the organization. It is a critical part of a team designed to fulfill our mission to strengthen the meat and poultry industry by connecting people, influencing change and empowering our members.

Your goal in this position is to ensure the efficient, and effective functioning of our member programs, services, events, activities, and related strategic initiatives. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to support our services, and build strong, productive relationships across the organization and throughout our membership base.

You will be critical in the success of our membership engagement strategy and will assist in communication and events. You’re proactive and creative; exceptionally organized; have a keen eye for detail; you excel at starting with a goal, generating a plan, and then gathering the tools you need to succeed.

Practically speaking, you’ll work in three key areas:
**Member Support**:You’ll provide the highest level of service to our members through all your interactions. Whether delivering member benefits, processing renewals, assisting with and attending events, or contributing to the improvement of our services, you’ll seek to build value and trust wherever you go.

**Administration**: You’ll keep our member database organized and up to date, while acting as a key point of contact on issues, challenges, and areas of concern for both members and internal stakeholders. You will be proficient at planning for meetings and events, making reservations for venues and managing event registrations.

You’ll get a chance to work with a leading organization, driving change for the industry and helping put local food on the plates of Ontarians across the province. Our members are independent businesses proud to serve the communities they live and work in. They can be found across the province, involved in every stage of the meat industry from harvesting to retail. You’ll love working with them everyday

Must be available to travel to various association functions and events several times a year.

**Knowledge and skills**

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma/GED.
- Excellent command of the English language, written and oral
- Superb customer service skills and the ability to collaborate well with others
- Proficiency updating WordPress Sites
- Proficiency in Microsoft office full suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). It is beneficial to have experience with SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive.
- Ability to think creatively and take initiative.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, on multiple projects and under pressure.

Assets:

- 1-2 years’ experience updating websites using WordPress
- 1-2 years’ experience not-for-profit / association or agricultural sectors
- experience with database management systems. Alternately, sales support or recruitment experiences would also be beneficial.
- Experience with designing, editing and sending MailChimp campaigns.
- Previous experience with CRM system and strong technical understanding of database systems and online association management systems

Pay: $37,440.00-$52,000.00 per year
