We seek an **Industry Services Manager (Member Support)** to join our small team of dedicated employees.

The **Industry Services Manager** provides research, information sessions, industry events and other support to our membership.

**Responsibilities**:

- Research topics of interest to LRIC members (e.g. antimicrobial resistance) and emerging research results related to on farm adoption
- Prepare materials to bring research results to livestock producers in an understandable and relevant, timely manner
- Work with LRIC’s International Research Advisory committee as they explore internationally proven means of improving the innovation cycle
- Work with the CEO to develop an annual work plan
- Prepare reports related to LRIC projects
- Develop and present materials to LRIC members on topics of interest
- Work closely with LRIC partners to develop and implement a farm visit program for (U of Guelph) Faculty as well as staff at government and LRIC member organizations
- Organize and coordinate industry events
- Manage LRIC initiatives such as our Mentorship program for Early Career Faculty
- Facilitate research priority setting sessions with LRIC members
- Other related duties as required

**Background**:

- Minimum of 3 years related work experience in the livestock industry required
- A strong industry network is a definite asset
- Work experience in a membership support role is an asset
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in a research capacity required
- A related post graduate degree, or similar in education and experience required
- Solid presentation skills, and establishing credibility when presenting is critical to this role
- Political acuity is critical to success
- Strong customer service skills towards membership is required
- Ability to listen to member concerns with compassion, and translate these concerns into actionable items
- Strong command of the English language (written and spoken) required
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and willing to work hard to leave all members with a positive experience
- Adaptable to emerging and shifting priorities
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a small team
