**The salary range for this position is**:

- Recruitment range: $59,909 - $74,767 maximum starting salary is determined through knowledge, experience, and internal equity.
- Performance range: starting salary to max of $85,910 is available through annual performance increases.

We focus on strategic benefits management, organizational development and training, occupational and environmental health, safety, emergency preparedness, Labour relations, recruitment and compensation services.Reporting to the Director, the Human Resources Associate works with a team of HR professionals to provide advice, guidance, and support to departments and faculties across campus and assists in the development and implementation of best practices, HR programs, policies, and systems. In support of Labour Relations, the Associate undertakes research and provides data to assist in decision making, including, but not limited to, collective bargaining and arbitration preparation. The incumbent is responsible for the development and cultivation of productive relationships to support the University’s People Strategy and build an inclusive campus community.
- Job RequirementsUniversity degree in Business, Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field and two years of related work in a complex organization, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Commitment to valuing and contributing to an inclusive and respectful working and learning environment.
- Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with managers, employees, and HR colleagues.
- The position works with confidential and personal information daily and is responsible for the security of this information.
- Proven track record of successfully managing HR initiatives and projects.
- Experience with HRIS systems and HR data analysis.
- CPHR or other HR certification is an asset.
