**How your role will add to the story**:
As part of the Mercedes-Benz Canada (MBCAN) sales team, the **Product Management Specialist (PMS)** is responsible for administering a cross-functional team (Launch Committee) to ensure successful/complete new product launches (all-new and carry-over); maintaining a thorough database and understanding of competitive product lifecycles (introductions, facelifts, run-outs, etc.) and ensuring dissemination to key stakeholders. The PMS is also responsible for supporting the relevant Product Manager in cross-carline technology and MANUFAKTUR topics. In addition, the PMS will also assist with business intelligence reporting and market research enabling data-driven decisions. Lastly, the PMS will support the Senior Product Manager with annual strategic volume planning and carryover inflation negotiations between MBCAN and MBAG stakeholders.

**A day in the life**

**New Vehicle Launch Management** (50%)
- Ensure that no vehicle goes to market without all requirements met via cross-functional coordination with all departments
- Maintenance of ongoing launch schedule on SharePoint and certification readiness date
- Prepare status reports for management to identify areas of escalation
- Ensure dissemination of appropriate information to internal departments

**Competitive Market and Business Intelligence** (30%)
- Maintain up-to-date database of competitive product entries, lifecycle plans, and runouts to ensure MBCAN’s plans best address market realities
- Assist with business intelligence reporting through the use of tools such as Power BI, JD Power PIN and Polk Catalyst. Data extracted from these tools will be used to keep the team’s take-rate report running as well as come up with additional reports to enable data-driven decisions

**Preparation of Competitive Benchmarking Materials and Product Information Guide** (10%)
- Preparation of thorough cross-carline on-lot product comparison documents to serve as sales tool for MBC dealer network, shifting focus from transactional payments to highlight MB strengths v. key competitors
- Develop and continually update Product Information Guide to accurately reflect the current offering and technologies

**Annual Strategic Volume Planning and Inflation** (10%)
- Preparation of templates in support of strategic long range planning and inflation processes
- Owner of the pricing release process for carryover models ensuring information is complete and all concerned parties are notified prior to key wholesale release dates
