Who We Are
When Canada’s health care decision-makers want to know what the evidence says, they ask CADTH, Canada’s drug and health technology agency. We’re a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Ottawa, with a satellite office in Toronto. We’re funded by Canada’s federal, provincial, and territorial governments, with the exception of Quebec, to provide independent information and advice to the country’s publicly funded health care systems. Health administrators and policy experts rely on CADTH to inform their decisions about the funding and appropriate use of the drugs, devices, and services used to prevent, diagnose, and treat medical conditions.

The Strategic Relationships and Initiatives business unit is 1 of the 6 business units at CADTH. It focuses on building opportunities for new work at CADTH, consolidating the understanding of how health systems are responding to the challenges of today and tomorrow. The team brings together expertise in customer and stakeholder engagement, health system monitoring, and strategic projects and innovation initiatives.
We are currently looking for talented students to bring their dedication, passion, and innovative ideas to fill a meaningful and stimulating full-time internship position within the Strategy and Innovation team.
The Intern will have an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of the Strategic Relationships and Initiatives team and hone their communication, analytical, and research skills. They will build strong complementary skills in organizational decision support, including preparing and translating data into meaningful insights for decision-makers. The tasks will vary according to the successful applicant’s area of interest and will be discussed and coordinated during the offer process. Some essential functions may include, but are not limited to:
- conducting research, data analysis as well as administrative and operational tasks
- preparing documents, letters and reports
- participating as a team member in team meetings, all-staff monthly meetings, and other events
- interacting with other CADTH teams as required to support current priorities and initiatives in alignment with CADTH’s corporate objectives.

Is this the right role for you?
**The Intern will likely have**:
- a graduate or undergraduate degree in business administration, pharmacy, healthcare management, or global healthcare in progress
- a demonstrated strength and interest in at least 1 of the following areas: data analysis and report writing, interest in producing business insights
- experience producing infographics to communicate data insights in an accessible way
- enthusiasm, passion, and strong analytical, written and communication skills
- strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- the ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
- the willingness to take initiative and demonstrate innovative thinking
