**Position Summary**:
Working with the Manager, People Moving Devices this position will plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate People Moving Systems and Technology Systems Contracts.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Lead all aspects of maintenance of elevating devices contracts, Automated People Mover (APM) contract and elevating devices regulatory inspection contract
- Project coordination with other internal and external departments, contractors and agencies to complete projects
- Provide Technical Support and Preventative Maintenance Programs to ensure systems safety, effective lifecycle management of infrastructure and systems in facilities and other departments
- Ensure compliance with applicable Standards / Regulatory requirements
- Develop and set Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Protocols
- Research trends and developments recommending future directions to improve performance and to provide systems and services flexibility, manageability and duplication
- Represent the GTAA as an APM authority at technical local and International forums

**Qualifications**:

- Electrical 309A License
- Minimum five years Operational experience of specialized computerized controls, electrical and information technology systems
- Experience in electro-mechanical systems maintenance, contract and/or Project Management
- Experience with airport and aviation facilities
- Valid Ontario "G" Class Driver’s License
- Able to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Electrical skills and knowledge
- Ability to review drawings and documents for accuracy and revise
- Contract preparation
- Lead contracts with operators, constructors, regulatory bodies and consultants
- Produce technical documents
- Preparation of technical design of new control systems architecture
- Organize system related activities and communicate with the partners throughout the community
- Plan, organize and implement projects, from proposal through implementation
- Analyze operational data to recommend next steps
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to deliver service despite conflicting priorities

The GTAA is a federally regulated private sector. The Government of Canada has suspended mandatory vaccination requirement for federally regulated transportation sector workers. The GTAA continues to monitor government and health developments relating to COVID -19 and may re-introduce the Vaccination and proof of Vaccination requirements in the Policy at any time.
