**Position Summary**:
Sales Development Representative reports to the Sales Department Manager in achieving sales targets. The role involves travelling locally to meet customers for sales meetings. Sales Representative meets with local retail stores and distributors related to organic food sales in order to maintain and grow customers’ accounts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Achieve sales targets and objectives
- Product promotion and introduction of new products to fill customer needs
- Increase and maintain product penetration
- Establish, develop and maintain long term business relationships with current customers and prospective customers to generate new business for the company’s products
- Clearance of short expiry products
- Resolve customer issues and problems by exhibiting a sense of urgency and professionalism
- Collect payments (accounts payable) on a regular basis and constantly ensure that there are no aging debts
- Ability to left/carry cases of product up to 20kg. We are growing and looking for a sales representative to support local events.

**Requirements/ Must-Haves**:

- Basic product knowledge and sales known-how
- Experience in planning and implementing sales strategy
- Strong communication skills and self motivation
- Market development - Ability to open new accounts
- Customer relationship management - Ability to maintain and develop long term customer relationships
- Ability to push and promote products as well as use sales tools
- Proficiency in English, written and spoken
- Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
- Planning and organization skills
- Familiarity with PC, office programs (working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Must be able to reliably commute to work with valid driver’s license is required
- Ability to travel within Metro Vancouver BC

**Education**:

- **Secondary School (preferred)**

**Experience**:

- **Sales: 1 year (preferred)**

**Salary**: $2,800.00-$5,000.00 per month

**Benefits**:

- Paid time off

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission pay
