Along with events for our members, our clubhouse is also a spectacular venue for external event bookings such as weddings, banquets, golf tournaments, and various social events and functions.

At the Edmonton Country Club, golf will always be more than just a game, and par service will never be good enough. We will endeavor in both word and deed to ensure its place as the finest private golf club in Alberta’s capital city.
** Events Lead (Full-time Hourly)**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintaining the high service standard of the Edmonton Country Club
- Clearly communicate verbally and in writing with banquet staff, kitchen staff, and other ECC departments
- Supervises and leads banquet servers and bartenders under the direction of the Event Manager
- Review and maintain high quality of set-up, service, and take-down of banquet events
- Provide excellent overall design and décor of banquet space
- Act as a single point of contact with event organizers during functions
- Promotes and fosters a positive team environment with a strong focus on positive culture development
- Ability to bartend and serve in both events & in our restaurant, depending on the season
- Assists the Events Manager in pre-shift meetings with event staff to review specific needs of each group including service procedures, set-up, menus, order of service, and any special requests
- Bar inventory control
- Key holder closing responsibilities
- Design creative communications including: event marketing packages, posters, signage, and menus
- Other responsibilities based on business needs

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Previous leadership experience in Food & Beverage and/or Events is preferred
- Events Management Certificate or a University/college diploma or degree in a related discipline preferred/ relevant experience will be considered.
- Superior organizational skills with **meticulous attention to detail**
- Strong verbal and written communication skills ensuring information is effectively distributed before, during, and after events.
- Basic graphic design knowledge is considered an asset but not a requirement (ie. Canva)
- Serving and bartending experience is considered an asset
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous
- Have the ability to manage conflict resolution tactfully pertaining to liquor consumption
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work most, if not all weekends in the summer/fall, and work all hours of the day (past 12:00am)
- Pro Serve certification required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (no direct public transport)
- CPR and First Aid are assets but not a requirement

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
- Ability to work long shifts
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 40 pounds
- Carrying trays of drinks or dishes

**COMPENSATION**
- 35 - 40 hours per week
- $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
