Overview
The Technical Sales Representative for the UZIN Brand will be responsible for distributor and contractor sales in their assigned territory, under the guidance of the UZIN Regional Sales
Manager. The ultimate goal is to reach the Company sales goals and budgets while maintaining integrity, trust, and credibility; as well as to provide industry leading technical and consultative service for our distributor and contractor customers.
Primary Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Essential functions may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. This list of tasks is illustrative only, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed.
- Identify, research, develop and maintain relationships with customers and decision makers (distributor and contractor) in the territory, to ensure a high level of customer service.
- Develop list of prospective customers for use as sales leads, through interactions with customers, business contacts, trade shows and other sources.
- Maximize market penetration in assigned territory.
- Implement pricing policies within market segments as directed.
- Introduce, demonstrate and promote all current and new UZIN products.
- Provide sales and product training /demos to distributors and contractors.
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of distributor and contractor businesses.
- Identify opportunities for potential sales to distributors and contractors.
- Make recommendations to contractors, distributors and existing customers of the various solutions UZIN offers for their business.
- Maintain CRM database to ensure accurate and updated customer information.
- Routinely resolves customer issues within established guidelines and partners with customers in identifying satisfactory solutions.
- Acts in a professional and courteous manner in all aspects of interaction with contractors and distributors.
- Understands competitive products’ advantages and disadvantages.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas/vehicles.
- Monitor territory KPI tracking to ensure goals are met.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Education, Licensing, and Certifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) - Required
- College or Technical School - Preferred
- Certifications a plus
Experience
- 2+ years of sales experience, preferred
- 2+ years flooring industry experience, preferred
- Professional business acumen
- Valid driver's license required
