**Who is My Catering Group?**
We are a team of highly trained chefs, servers, and event managers who have been serving the Nation’s capital of catering services for the past 8 years. We believe the best pairing for flawless event execution to be freshly sourced ingredients prepared by our experienced chefs, served and managed by meticulous event professionals.
My Catering Group has undergone many expansions and contracts and we're looking to expand our team with amazing, like-minded individuals to meet our consistently growing needs. Some of our operations are currently located at the Museum of History, the National Gallery of Canada, and the Canadian War Museum where we will need your help to assist with the ongoing operation of those kitchens. Rates are based on experience and you may be needed for some weekends, however as we're expanding there are many areas for growth with My Catering Group, in this role and in other sectors of the company.
**Your Role**
As a Cook at My Catering Group:
- Maintain cleanliness of service and kitchen areas
- Complete daily logs in compliance with our Health and Safety Regulations (i.e., food production temperatures, fridge and freezer temperatures, sanitization, and dishwasher ppm levels)
- Preparation of food products on a daily basis
- Help keep the kitchen organized and running efficiently
- Working alongside team members to facilitate event menus
- All black uniforms will be required for on-site services. (Shirt and apron will be provided by employer)
Skills that we believe are essential for this position:
- Strong time management, productivity, and problem solving skills
- Experience using cutting tools and commercial kitchen equipment
- Working with a team or independently
- Effective communication
- Fine attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- Ability to stand for the duration of a shift, and lift up to 50lbs

**Salary**: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
