The Advanced Group of Companies (“AGC”) is looking for an energetic multi-tasker to join our dynamic team of Mortgage Underwriters and Administrators.

The Advanced Group of Companies (“AGC”) is a boutique, entrepreneurial capital management company engaged in private mortgage lending and mortgage investment activities. As AGC, we operate a licensed mortgage administration company, a registered exempt market dealer and a mortgage investment corporation. AGC is owned by the principals of Mortgage Brokers Ottawa, one of the largest mortgage brokerages in Canada with over $1 billion in mortgage originations annually. - Provide a high level of customer service to Advanced MIC's customer's (mortgage broker, mortgage agents, and borrowers)
- Be someone that is business minded and growth oriented.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Work with the other members of the mortgage underwriting to provide superior customer service on mortgage renewals, modifications, discharges, etc.
- Dealing with mortgage-related inquiries proactively and with tact and escalating issues to the appropriate team member when required.
- Ensuring continued compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Mortgage underwriting experience is an asset.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma is an asset.
- Microsoft Office skills especially in Excel is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail with documentation archiving skills in an almost paperless workplace.
- Good decision-making skills with the ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment where flexibility, keeping others informed and anticipating needs is essential.
- Fluent English is required. French is an asset.
- A mortgage broker’s or agent’s license and experience with Filogix Expert are assets.
- Due to the sensitive nature of the work, credit and background checks will be required.
