Safety Officer

**Overview**
**Duties**
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the workplace to identify potential hazards.
- Review safe work procedures with workers
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations.
- Provide training and support to employees on safety practices and emergency procedures.
- Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management to create a culture of safety within the organization.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to workplace safety.
- Utilize construction management software to track compliance and manage safety documentation.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in an industrial or construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in identifying potential risks.
- Relevant certifications in occupational health and safety (e.g., OSHA) are preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- First Aid L2 or L3 required
