**A Health and Safety Officer, **also known as an HSO or EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) Officer, is responsible for ensuring that an organization's work environment is safe and healthy for employees, customers and visitors. Their role involves identifying potential hazards and developing plans to minimize or eliminate the risks.
- **RESPONSIBILITIES**_
- Conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace.
- Advising management on health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Investigating incidents and accidents that occur in the workplace, and developing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Getting COR certification for the company and conducting health and safety audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards and providing training to the employees on the same.
- Collaborating with other departments within the organization to ensure a safe and healthy work environment and conducting regular reviews for any improvements if required.
- Staying up-to-date with changes in health and safety legislation and regulations.
- The specific duties and responsibilities of a Health and Safety Officer may vary depending on the size and type of organization they work for. However, the primary goal of this role is always to ensure that the work environment is safe and healthy for everyone.**REQUIREMENTS**:

- **Construction Safety Officer or NCSO and/or OFA 2/3**:
- **Experience in Traffic Industry is a MUST**:
- **A valid TCP Ticket**:
- **A valid driving license with clean abstract**:
- **Understanding of safety code rules and regulations and experience of COR certification**:
- **Expertise of health and safety - 2yrs of minimum experience in the relevant field**:
- **Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and other computer programs as may be necessary in the performance of CSO duties**:
- **Flexible schedule and ability to work well under pressure and priorities work**
**Schedule: Shift work based on weekly schedules/ weekdays and weekends**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
