**About the work environment**:
Peoples Group offers a flexible work environment with a combination of in-office and remote from-home work options for our employees. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start & end times.

**About you**:
You are a motivated and focused individual with a team-oriented mindset who has experience providing a full range of compliance and regulatory services across various business lines. You have experience analyzing and problem-solving in addressing regulatory and policy issues, conducting research and analysis on a spectrum of matters, and engaging with all levels of business stakeholders. You are a natural problem-solver and use your knack for analysis when finding solutions. You thrive in a high-volume environment and enjoy the challenge of hitting deadlines and creating deliverables.

**About you / qualifications**:

- 1+ years of work experience in a compliance or regulatory role
- Proven ability to comprehend and produce technical documents
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with or within Financial Institutions
- Experience with compliance software and/or willingness to learn compliance software
- Experience with working with various stakeholders within an organization - including management
- Strong proficiency with systems; Word & Outlook; Intermediate to advanced level of Excel (pivot tables, IF functions, Lookup functions)
- Adaptable, flexible, innovative, and responsive to change
- Ability to grasp business concepts in a dynamic, fast paced, and multi-entity environment
- Knowledge of Trust & Loan Companies Act and regulations, Bank Act and regulations, Consumer Protection, AML/ATF, Privacy, and CASL legislation will be considered an asset
- Experience supporting the development and maintenance of a Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) program will be considered an asset
- Adaptable, flexible, innovative, and responsive to change
- Ability to grasp business concepts in a dynamic, fast paced, and multi-entity environment

**About the day-to-day**:

- Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Compliance, you will provide daily and strategic support to the RCM program
- Facilitate the completion of RCM assessments and support testing of key controls across various business lines
- Assess emerging regulatory changes to direct the business to their process enhancements
- Translate research into accessible materials and knowledge products in support of organizational priorities
- Review customer facing communications, advertising and disclosures for adherence to regulatory obligations
- Draft procedures in relation to applicable legislation and regulations
- Monitor legal and regulatory environment including review & analysis of regulatory announcements, reports, and legislative changes
- Develop and maintain relationships with associations and industry representatives
- Develop materials for special projects as requested
