Get ready to be at the heart of the action As the backbone of our Facilities Management team, you’ll be the go-to person for both emergency crises and day-to-day operations. Your mission? To ensure seamless processing of service requests and provide crucial administrative support to our cutting-edge Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Reporting to the Systems Manager, this position is responsible for
- Processing emergency and non-emergency service requests for Facilities Management.
- Along with the Systems Manager, Work Control staff oversee the maintenance, functionality, and data integrity of the FAMIS software system, including but not limited to assisting in the training of FAMIS users, managing and prioritizing work-flow, handling inventory control, etc.
- Primary point of contact for the University community who require the services, advice, or expertise of Facilities Management.
- Responds to all service requests that pass through the Work Control Centre for vetting and quality assurance purposes.

Position Requirements

**Position Requirements Section**:

- Grade 12 supplemented by the successful completion of a recognized business course
- Three years of related experience. Combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in the Role**:

- Knowledge and skill in operating a wide variety of complex databases such as Banner and FAMIS or equivalent experience with maintenance management reporting database systems is an asset.
- Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
- Ability to create, compose and edit written materials.
- Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, the general public, external consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Ability to respond to unusual and stressful situations in a calm and logical manner.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
- Ability to make informed, independent decisions in a high-volume, past-paced environment.
- Ability to organize multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in records management and tracking of information.
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Ability to understand and comply with University health and safety requirements, Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, and all safe work procedures and practices applicable to the position.
- Ability to identify and report unsafe acts, workplace hazards, and incidents that result (or could result) in injury, illness, or environmental damage.
- Ability to work and encourage other to work and act safely.

Physical Demands

May be required to work overtime and weekends; may be required to work various shifts. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Work environment also involves high pressure situations, often involving potential damage to property and/or harm to individuals.

Pay Grade CUPE Phase 4 Salary Range $43,388.80 - $58,604.00 Status Term Work Hours

8am - 4:30 pm with a one hour lunch break noon - 1pm.
