**Reporting to the Director Staff Scheduling, the Staff Scheduling Supervisor will be responsible for the oversight of
activities in the Staffing Office and the deliverables of the Staff Scheduling Clerks (development posted schedules,
processing leave requests, regular stakeholder engagement), development of staffing office schedule, audit of pre
- posted schedules and the investigations into inaccuracies and or staffing complaints in relation to a posted schedule
or call out procedure.. The Supervisor will be responsible for the daily supervision of Staffing Office team, monitoring
performance standards and taking action, making revisions and addressing non-conformance items with staff in
support to and with the director. The Supervisor will participate in recruitment, coaching, performance assessment
and disciplinary activities. In addition, this role will have a working knowledge of recruitment, compensation and
benefits leave administration and labour relations.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Be the first point of contact for the Staffing Office Clerks in supporting queries and troubleshooting daily activities

and deliverables of the staffing office
- Support the director in developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance recruitment and staffing

functions
- Develops and maintains service standards for staffing scheduling functions to ensure timely and efficient

scheduling outputs
- Provide Subject Matter expertise for system administration, maintenance and training to the staffing office
- Monitors performance and takes corrective action as required, providing supportive guidance and counseling;
consults with Director, Staff Scheduling to keep them apprised of performance of team members
- Provide regular and clear communication to stakeholders regarding status of staffing clerks and assignments
- Provide first point of escalation for concerns with staffing practices or performance
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with hiring managers and provides strategic and

expert advice in staffing to achieve program/department goals; conduct related research as warranted
- Troubleshoot staffing challenges in identified areas with leaders and other stakeholders
- Works in collaboration with the Employee Relations Consultants (ERC) on matters arising from schedule

posting/call in activity to provide background information and proactively resolve issues, avoiding grievance
activity, wherever possible
**Required Qualifications and Experience**:

- Degree in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Post-secondary Health Care diploma an asset
- Minimum 2 years’ experience developing electronic schedules in a complex healthcare environment
- Minimum 1 year Supervisor experience in a complex healthcare environment
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with staffing/autocalling systems, with Staffright and Vocantis experience

preferred
- Experience in human resources staffing processes including seniority, attendance management, and vacation

accrual processes
