barBURRITO was established in 2005 and with over 200 units in operation and another 100 units in development, barBURRITO is the market leader and Canada’s largest and fastest growing Mexican Food Franchise.

Due to this explosive growth, working closely with our real estate and Franchise Development teams, we are seeking a **Business Development Specialist** with a “hunter mindset” to identify new opportunities within the retail community.

**The Role**

In this newly created role, the **Business Development Specialist** is principally responsible for identifying and contacting existing retailers as potential conversion targets to a barBURRITO outlet. Working closely with the Franchise Development and the Real Estate teams, the BDS achieves these goals by creating and executing an ethical business strategy to:
a) Identify and contact suitable existing businesses for sale that are listed on the MLS; the internet; business for sale publications and/or websites and;
b) Identify and contact suitable retailers that may have the desire to exit their lease early.

- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs;
- Reliable, independent and able to work flexible hours with mínimal supervision or direction;
- Strategic/creative thinker and Results-oriented sales person;
- 2+ years experience in sales, account management, partnerships, or business development;
- Required - Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English. Additionally, French would be an asset;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in partnership management and strategic relationship building;
- Driven, motivated, and initiative-driven, able to operate with mínimal supervision to produce high-quality results.
- Has a vehicle to travel to sites on an as-needed basis
